The Design Nerd's Tumblr
Author, artist, part-time adult, professional secret fangirl and triangle-obsessed Faller (despite the current theme).

You may know me as The Design Nerd from ff.net or Mystery-Shack, the voice of Ana Graham from the WTNV/GF crossover podcast Welcome to Gravity Falls (link's up there), or I could've been wandering around cons or something. Who knows.

I mostly reblog Gravity Falls, Doctor Who, or stuff that makes me laugh like a mute, dying seal. The follow button's up there somewhere if this blog is your cup of tea.

Pixars 22 Rules of Story Telling

9 is worth the price of admission, holy crap.

This is genius. So many great writing tips!

And this is why Pixar is a master in their field.

Why do I feel so weird reblogging this… this is the weekend dammit!  Anyway, great advice.

This is something I definitely needed to hear right about now. Makes me want to storyboard!

Come to think of it, Dipper - unlike Mabel and Soos - was the one who didn’t see the deal/transaction Bill made with Gideon. I have to wonder if that’s going to be important when it comes to the big question of, “Will Dipper make a deal with Bill?”

I can’t help but feel that, if Dipper had been there, there would be no possibility of him trusting Bill enough to agree to something. But without that information, Bill could spin it in a, “Hey, don’t let first impressions fool you, I’m a decent guy, I just had to do what he told me!” way that makes all the distrust and blame fall on Gideon. Bill washes his hands clean and tada, Dipper’s a sucker.

There is the matter of the Journal, though; it hasn’t steered Dipper wrong, and I can’t see him forgetting its warnings. But the fact that Dipper has missed some crucial Bill scenes raises some big red flags…
